Good morning.

Things appear to be heating up mildly in the Yu Darvish derby with rumors out there that he has a five year offer from a mystery team, the Brewers have made him an offer, the Cubs are actively talking to him and, perhaps telling, they recently signed Darvish-friendly catcher Chris Gimenez.

T.R. Sullivan writes about Vladimir Guerrero’s brief but impactful time in Texas as he looks join Nolan Ryan, Bert Blyleven, Ferguson Jenkins, Gaylord Perry, Rich Gossage, and Pudge Rodriguez as former Rangers in the Hall of Fame this week.

Speaking of Vlad, Vlad Guerrero Jr. is MLB Pipeline’s No. 1 3B prospect and Baseball America’s No. 3 overall prospect. I spent the entire disaster that was 2014 hoping the Rangers would use their bonus money to ink Vladdy Jr. during the 2015 July 2 signing period but Toronto probably had the Montreal native locked down A.J. Preller style long before. I guess we’ll just have to live with Leody Taveras as a consolation prize.

I know you’re just dying to read Jean-Jacques Taylor’s Rangers thoughts from a recent chat hosted by the DMN.

Jeff Sullivan of Fangraphs held a poll to see how favorably fans view their team’s ownership. The results are in.

Last but not least, Sullivan writes about Eric Nadel hosting the second annual Benefit Blowout concert to assist Focus on Teens.

Have a nice day!
