Ryan Rua and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a one year, $870,000 deal, per Jon Heyman on Twitter. This means that there will be no arbitration hearing — or even an exchange of figures -- between the two. MLB Trade Rumors had projected $900,000 for Rua.

Also per Heyman, the Rangers have signed catcher Mike Ohlman to a minor league deal. Ohlman, 26, spent last season in the Blue Jays organization, and spent a little time in the majors in May and a little in August, going 3 for 13 with 3 Ks in 7 games. He will presumably be a AAA depth guy and a spring training guy.

Neither of these are a big story, but hey, nothing is going on, and if we combine the two it maybe is worth a post.
