Tuesday Morning Texas Rangers Update

What are y’all going as this Halloween?

MLB: World Series-Houston Astros at Los Angeles Dodgers Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

T.R. Sullivan writes that Elvis Andrus isn’t planning on opting out of his contract even though he has until tomorrow to make an official decision.

Jeff Wilson writes that, unlike the last month, the Rangers will likely be busy making various decisions over the next two or so weeks.

Sullivan notes that Adrian Beltre is among the former Rangers who became free agents on Monday. ;_;

Robinson Chirinos and Chris Martin will represent the Rangers among the MLB players who will compete in November’s All-Star Series in Japan.

Sullivan looks at where the Rangers stand in their hunt for a manager now with the World Series behind us and the possibility for new candidates to emerge.

Julio Pablo Martinez had three hits on Monday, including a double, with two RBIs and now has an OPS of .931 in Arizona Fall League action.

You can also vote for JPM to join pitcher Demarcus Evans on the AFL All-Star team, if you’re into that kind of thing.

And, lastly, I bet you can guess what MLB dot com’s Mark Feinsand lists as the Rangers’ top offseason need.

Have a spooky day!
