Globe Life Park to host XFL team in 2020

Well, now we know what the old park will be used for

Are you ready for some (Globe Life Park) football?

It was announced today that Globe Life Park, which will no longer be the Texas Rangers’ home park after the 2019 season, since they are moving across the street to the currently under construction Globe Life Field, will be the home of an XFL franchise that will start play in 2020.

Thought the XFL was dead and gone? Me, too. But apparently the XFL is being resurrected, and the D/FW area will have a team that will play at the Rangers’ old stadium. The stadium will have to be changed and seats removed/relocated to fit a football field there, but still, if you were worried about the old park going to waste, worry no more.
