The Texas Rangers currently have four pitchers who are locked into the rotation right now -- Cole Hamels, Matt Moore, Doug Fister and Martin Perez (though Perez could miss the first week or so of the season). And while there had been talk through much of the offseason of doing some sort of six man rotation, it appears likely at this point that the Rangers are going to be mostly using a five man rotation for 2018.
So a poll for you today...who do you think will be the Rangers’ fifth starter to open up the year?
(And to avoid semantic arguments in the comments, the “fifth starter” is the guy who will be in the rotation with the other four listed above once Perez is ready, whether that’s on Opening Day or a week or two into the season).
