7-12 - Rangers finally achieve an easy victory, trample Rays 7-2

For once it was the Rangers easily beating their opponent

MLB: Texas Rangers at Tampa Bay Rays Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Pretty much everyone contributed for the Rangers tonight as the young, fill-in lineup put seven runs on the board and even Matt Moore looked like a good Major League pitcher.

Can’t complain about this one.

What a difference playing a team that is maybe even worse than you makes, I guess!

Player(s) of the Game: Moore went seven strong and allowed only an unearned run while striking out six and walking just two batters. However, it’s hard to ignore Isiah Kiner-Falefa collecting four hits in his five at-bats in just his sixth game as a big leaguer.

In addition, Shin-Soo Choo hit a monster dong after reaching twice drawing walks and Ronald Guzman hit a big two-out, two-run double to give the Rangers a more comfortable 5-1 lead in fifth inning. Even Carlos Tocci and Drew Robinson got in on the act as every Ranger hitter reached at least once.

Up Next: The Rangers will turn to Cole Hamels in the hopes of snagging their second straight series win and a winning road trip. The Rays will counter with RHP Jake Faria. First pitch of the finale from The Trop is an early one at 12:10 pm CT.
