Tonight’s lineup in Seattle as Beltre lands on DL, Kiner-Falefa starts

Welcome back to the Rangers, Handsome Hanser. I wish the circumstances were different.

Texas Rangers lineup: Adrian Beltre will indeed miss time with another hamstring strain and, despite my sternly written letters to the offices of Major League Baseball, the season won’t be placed on pause until Beltre is healthy again.

The show must go on and that’s to Hanser Alberto’s benefit as he was recalled to take Beltre’s spot on the roster. Isiah Kiner-Falefa benefits in that he’s the starting third baseman tonight and probably for the foreseeable, Beltre-less future.

Delino DeShields - CF

Shin-Soo Choo - DH

Jurickson Profar - SS

Nomar Mazara - RF

Joey Gallo - LF

Isiah Kiner-Falefa - 3B

Rougned Odor - 2B

Robinson Chirinos - C

Ronald Guzman - 1B

Mike Minor makes the start tonight for Texas against RHP Mike Leake for Seattle. First pitch from Safeco Field is scheduled for 9:10 pm CT.
