16-27 - Rangers suffer a Minor disappointment, lose to Seattle 9-8 in extras

Despite a plethora of runs, the Rangers saw their comeback bid ended via a Seattle walk-off in the 11th

MLB: Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

If, god help you, you stayed late up for this one you got to see Joey Gallo hit an oppo home run and the Rangers score a bunch of runs. Unfortunately, the defense and pitching crapped right on the bed you were surely longing to climb into.

Mike Minor lasted all of 3 13 innings after allowing six runs despite Texas staking him to a 3-1 lead. The Rangers did make it interesting and even battled back to lead 7-6 heading into the bottom of the eighth until the Mariners mustered rallies against a wild Jose Leclerc and — after Texas tied it in the ninth — secured a winner off Alex Claudio to walk it off in the second free frame.

Sleep will be restless, if it comes at all.

Player of the Game: Robinson Chirinos had a nice night at the plate going 3-for-4 with a walk and three runs batted in.

Up Next: The Rangers and Mariners conclude this very brief and pointless series with Bartolo Colon set to make the start for Texas against TBD for Seattle. Colby Lewis will be on the broadcast that you can only watch on Facebook starting at 2:40 pm CT.
