2018 MLB Mock Draft: Keith Law has his latest mock draft out, and you will be shocked to learn that he has the Texas Rangers going with a high school pitcher at #15. In this case, it is lefty Ryan Weathers out of Loretto, Tennessee. Weathers is the son of former major league pitcher David Weathers, and is a two sport athlete, and he’s part of the big recruiting class Vanderbilt has put together this spring.
Law says the Rangers are linked with athletic high schoolers, and also mentions Jarred Kelenic as a possibility, though he has Kelenic off the board one pick before Texas, when Seattle selects. Law had Kelenic going to the Rangers in his first mock draft.
As a reminder, the 2018 MLB Draft is just two and a half weeks away — three weeks from now, we will have an all new draft class to obsess over and analyze.
