18-30 - Getaway lineup can’t get away with just two hits: Texas falls 3-0 in Chicago

The question “What if you make the entire lineup out of the bottom of the order?” has now been answered

MLB: Texas Rangers at Chicago White Sox Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Coming into this series with the Rangers, the White Sox had won just three times at home in 18 games. The White Sox doubled their season total for wins at home with three wins in this series against Texas.

In fact, the Rangers didn’t even manage to score a run in the last 15 innings of this series.

Oof.

Player of the Game: The Rangers had two hits today. Hanser Alberto wasn’t responsible for either of them. But Alberto did return to the lineup for the first time since 2016 so that’s nice for him.

Up Next: The Rangers will go from playing the worst team in the American League to one of the best when the Yankees come to town for a three game series. Bartolo Colon will take the mound in the opener against RHP Masahiro Tanaka. First pitch from Arlington in Monday’s opener is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
