2018 MLB Draft: Keith Law’s latest mock draft is out, and KLaw has the Texas Rangers, with their pick at #15, taking North Carolina high school outfielder Jordyn Adams. Adams is one of the raw, toolsy types that are often linked with the Rangers, and is a two-sports athlete who has also played football in high school.
We wrote about Adams a couple of weeks ago, and KLaw notes that Adams is seen as having “top-10 tools,” but is ranked outside of the top 10 generally because of his lack of experience playing baseball. Adams is someone who the Rangers have been linked with quite a bit, though there are some concerns he may be a tough sign because of his opportunity to play both football and baseball at the University of North Carolina.
Law has Carter Stewart, who Jonathan Mayo mocks as going to Texas in his latest mock draft, off the board to Miami at #13.
