The Rangers have a righty-heavy lineup with Adrian Beltre at DH for today’s matinee game against Detroit

MLB: Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Rangers look to take the series against the Detroit Tigers today and head into tomorrow’s off day with a win, and Jeff Banister is featuring a lineup heavy on righthanded hitters that also have Adrian Beltre, newly off the disabled list, manning the DH spot.

The lineup:

DeShields — CF

Kiner-Falefa -- 2B

Mazara -- RF

Beltre -- DH

Gallo -- 1B

Profar — SS

Nunez -- 3B

Rua — LF

Perez — C

Bartolo Colon is on the mound for Texas, with lefty Francisco Liriano going for Detroit.

UPDATE — Robinson Chirinos has been scratched with a sore wrist. Chirinos was hitting seventh, so Nunez and Rua each move up a spot, and Perez hits 9th.
