32-44 - Rougie strikes back as Rangers sweep Royals with 3-2 win

Make it five straight wins as Rougned Odor and Austin Bibens-Dirkx team up to tame KC

I like it when dope things like Austin Bibens-Dirkx winning baseball games as a starting pitcher for the Texas Rangers with Isiah Kiner-Falefa as his catcher.

I like when Rougned Odor hits (he hit his second dong of the year tonight).

I like when Joey Gallo walks (he did so thrice tonight).

I like the Rangers and, for the last few days at least, the Rangers have liked me back.

Player of the Game: Odor had an alleged disciplinary day off yesterday for his involvement in whatever got Yohander Mendez shipped back to Triple-A.

Tonight, in his return to the lineup against the Royals, Rougie went 2-for-3, with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI thanks to his sixth inning dinger, and he continued his very recent trend of looking tantalizingly more like the Rougie of two or three years ago rather than the one from the last year and a half.

Oh yeah, and Shin-Soo Choo reached base with a single in the first inning to extend his on base streak to 34 games in a row.

Up Next: The Rangers get a day off tomorrow before opening a series against the Twins in Minnesota on Friday night.
