20 games in 20 days is in the book and now there’s only 100 more of these things to go. This is what they mean by baseball being a marathon. It’s endless. It feels like the 2018 season has been happening forever now and there’s still 18 more games than a full NBA season left to be played.
Player of the Game: Shin-Soo Choo continues to hit and the Rangers continue to fail to drive him in. Today Choo swatted two doubles among the club’s five hits but he did not cross the plate.
Overall the Rangers went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left ten on base including the bases loaded in the ninth. Texas scored a total of four runs in this series against the Angels and only avoided a second shutout loss thanks to a Nomar Mazara solo home run in the eighth inning.
Up Next: The Rangers have their first day off of seemingly this entire millenium before opening a homestand against the Oakland Athletics beginning on Tuesday.
