All told, the Rangers plucked 27 pitchers (23 RHP, 4 LHP), six shortstops, three outfielders, three catchers, and one third baseman among their 40 picks. Texas drafted either a RHP or a SS with their first eleven selections and didn’t pick a non-pitcher or shortstop until the 15th round.

Texas went with 16 prep players and 24 from college, though they didn’t pick a college player until the 6th round.

Now we await to see which of these players actually sign and join the Rangers but it’s nice to see that Texas just straight up selected Lebron in the 26th round to help ensure a successful class.
