MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospect list, and Texas Rangers top 30 prospect list, for mid-season 2018 is now out, and the Rangers have four players who cracked the overall MLB top 100 list.
Leody Taveras is the top ranked Ranger prospect, checking in at #43 on the top 100 list, while Willie Calhoun (who likely will lose his prospect status before the season is up) is at #49. Julio Pablo Martinez is at #63 on their list, while 2018 first rounder Cole Winn rounds out the Ranger contingent at #99.
The top 30 Rangers prospect list has some eye-openers, such as Sam Huff barely missing the top 20 and righthanded pitcher Yerry Rodriguez, who is currently dominating the complex league in Arizona, checking in at #29.
