56-70 - Odor makes the sky weep as Rangers claim 4-2 win

Rougie’s three-run rainmaker put Texas ahead just before the final storm of the day

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

It only took like a combined million hours of on again, off again soggy baseball, but the Rangers have secured a series win over the Angels with a 4-2 victory in today’s finale.

Player of the Game: Rougned Odor continued his August assault with an eventual game-winning, three-run dong as he takes dead aim at snagging the league’s Player of the Month award. Rougie drove in all four Rangers runs and even added a walk to his day.

Up Next: The Rangers don’t know who will be starting Monday’s opener from Oakland but they hope it will be Bartolo Colon. The Athletics will start RHP Mike Fiers in the first of three games. First pitch from Oakland Coliseum is scheduled for 9:05 pm CT.
