Delino DeShields, Matt Bush updates

Delino DeShields starts a rehab assignment tonight, and Matt Bush is done for the year

We have updates on a couple of injured Texas Rangers players, one good and one bad.

First the good — Delino DeShields, on the disabled list due to a fractured finger, starts a rehab assignment tonight for the Frisco Roughriders. Delino has been on the d.l. for almost two weeks with the injury, his third d.l. stint in what has been a lost season for him. He will presumably be activated when rosters expand on September 1.

As for the bad update, Matt Bush is done for the year, per the beat guys. This isn’t exactly a surprise, but it’s now confirmed that Bush, who is working his way back from a flexor tendon injury, will not pitch again this season. The hope is that he will be 100% and ready to go next spring.
