The Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers will close out this brief two-game series tonight. Joey Gallo is apparently only a backup center fielder now as he’s getting the day off even though the Rangers have a day off tomorrow after also having a day off on Monday.
Also of note, Isiah Kiner-Falefa is catching tonight for Texas and I noticed Los Angeles lived up to their team name by waiting half an hour to release their lineup with Matt Kemp in left field tonight until after they saw that Robinson Chirinos would be sitting this one out.
Cowards!
The lineup:
- Shin-Soo Choo - LF
- Rougned Odor - 2B
- Elvis Andrus - SS
- Nomar Mazara - RF
- Adrian Beltre - DH

- Ronald Guzman - 1B

Those are the nine men who will face lefty starter Alex Wood for the Dodgers while the Rangers will start Mike Minor.
