Good morning.

Levi Weaver recaps last night’s 5-2 win where Joey Gallo, Ronald Guzman, Jose Leclerc, and especially Mike Minor took the reins and ended Texas’ losing streak.

Doug Padilla writes that Minor continued his excellent second half for Texas which helped the Rangers defeat the Angels.

Evan Grant writes that Minor is proving that he’s an actual starting pitcher which means he’s perhaps the lone success in that department for the Rangers in 2018.

Jeff Wilson reacts to the win and the latest news but also ponders who had a worse Sunday, the Rangers or the Dallas Cowboys.

Weaver writes that when the topic of coming back to the Rangers turned to Elvis Andrus — instead of his buddy Adrian Beltre — he seemed to indicate that he would be back in 2019, even though he doesn’t have to make anything official for a while.

Grant writes that it is indeed likely that Elvis will not opt out of his contract and continue to play for the only big league team he has ever known.

Wilson writes that about how a potential return of Elvis will impact the team next season and beyond.

Padilla notes that Elvis was being a bit coy about his upcoming decision and while he might come back, nothing in baseball is ever quite as it seems until it is.

Wilson’s No. 5 top prospect for Texas hasn’t thrown a pitch in a game yet but the 2018 first rounder Cole Winn has the attributes you look for.

And, lastly, Ralph Bowden takes a look at the top 20 impending free agents and where they might land and lists no upcoming Rangers free agents but seems to think the Rangers could be in the market for a non-Bryce Harper veteran outfielder. Consider me dubious.

Have a nice day!
