64-85 - A Minor rebellion by young Rangers quashed by stern Padres

Imagine acquiring a Francisco Mejia at the deadline. Must be nice.

It was fun when Willie Calhoun and Jurickson Profar were homering but less so when the Rangers lost on a walkoff grand slam hit by an actual good prospect a team acquired at the trade deadline.

Player of the Game: Mike Minor went 6 13 innings and allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Minor lowered his second half era to 2.38 over 53 innings pitched. Oh, yeah, he also hit a double.

Up Next: The Rangers open up a series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night with Adrian Sampson set to face off against RHP Tyler Glasnow in the opener. First pitch from Arlington is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
