As the season winds down, we continue our look at the performances for the various Texas Rangers minor league affiliates. This morning, we look at the pitchers for the AA Frisco Roughriders.
As we discussed with the Frisco hitters, it was a bad year in terms of wins and losses for the Roughriders, and early on, in particular, the Frisco pitching staff didn’t have much to feel good about. Ariel Jurado put up a nice ERA for the Roughriders, but didn’t strike anyone out, while Brett Martin had a disastrous year. By season’s end, though, Jonathan Hernandez, Edgar Arredondo, C.D. Pelham and Joe Palumbo had all been promoted to Frisco, and Taylor Hearn and Wei-Chieh Huang had been added via trade.
