Well that certainly looked like an 89 loss team with an interim manager playing game No. 154 of a long, miserable season.
Take notes, Tim Bogar.
Player of the Game: Delino DeShields, Rougned Odor, and Adrian Beltre each had a base hit. That’s the extent of positive things that happened tonight.
Tank Update: The Reds lost to the Marlins tonight which means, even though Texas also lost, Cincinnati would earn the 7th pick in next year’s draft while the Rangers would pick 8th. The Tigers won tonight, however, meaning Texas is only 2 1⁄2 games better than Detroit who would currently pick 6th.
Up Next: In the final home game of the season, Martin Perez will make his return to the rotation as Texas will go for a series win against LHP Wade LeBlanc and the Mariners. First pitch for Sunday’s finale is scheduled for 2:05 pm CT.
