66-92 - Profar, Beltre go deep, Rangers swept by Angels

Texas is now a season-worst 26 games under .500

If you’re into the whole tanking for a better draft pick thing, tonight was not too bad. If you’d rather just see the Rangers do well, well, Jurickson Profar hit his 20th bomb of the season and Adrian Beltre hit another home run that might convince him to play more baseball next season.

Despite those highlights, the Rangers still lost 3-2 and were swept by the Angels, however.

Player of the Game: See above, Beltre and Profar.

Tank Update: The Rangers did their part to move up in the draft order but the problem is the Reds and Tigers are also bad so they also lost tonight and Texas is running out of time to catch them.

Up Next: The Rangers head to Seattle for the final series of the season beginning on Thursday night. Ariel Jurado is scheduled to make the start for the Rangers against LHP Marco Gonzales. First pitch from Safeco Field is scheduled for 9:10 pm CT.
