The Texas Rangers are retiring Adrian Beltre’s #29, the team announced tonight. Beltre is the fifth person so honored by the Rangers, along with Pudge Rodriguez, Nolan Ryan, Johnny Oates and Jackie Robinson.
Beltre announced his retirement in November, having spent the final eight seasons of what was a Hall of Fame career with Texas. The team will be having a formal ceremony in June to retire the #29.
