Keith Law’s top 100 prospect list for 2019 is out this week, with the players who are 51 through 100 on the list being released today. The Texas Rangers placed three players in the back half of the top 100, after having Joe Palumbo identified as someone who just missed the list, at #105, yesterday.

Leody Taveras is the highest ranked Ranger in this group of players, coming in at #62, with Keith praising his defense and contact ability. At #72 is the Rangers’ first round pick in 2018, righthanded pitcher Cole Winn, while the team’s 2017 second rounder, Hans Crouse, is at #95.

The guys from 1-50 on Keith’s list will be released tomorrow, and I’m not expecting any Rangers to make the cut, though its possible a Bubba Thompson or a J.P. Martinez could surprise and sneak in at #50 or thereabouts. Most likely, though, Texas has three guys in Keith’s top 100, and another prospect who barely missed, which isn’t bad.
