Tuesday Morning Texas Rangers Update

Hope you’re excited for the 2019 Winter Caravan

MLB: Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

As you might have heard, the Rangers don’t really have a third baseman anymore. T.R. Sullivan looks at ten options from currently outside the org that Texas could turn to to fill the need.

Speaking of third basemen, Patrick Wisdom might be coming to a town near you! The Rangers announced the schedule for the 2019 edition of their annual Winter Caravan meet and greet sessions. You can read all about it from Sullivan, or Jeff Wilson, or even Evan Grant.

MLB dot com ponders one question facing each club here in the new year. Just one question seems awfully generous for the 2019 Texas Rangers, if we’re being honest.

Ben Weinrib notes that, despite the contradictory steady decline in payrolls that we’ve seen around the big leagues in recent years, MLB is setting revenue records. At least all that money is going to giving minor leaguers a living wage though, right?

And, lastly, let’s check in on my svelte son Willie Calhoun:

Have a nice day!
