A.J. Alexy and Cole Uvila each pitched for the Surprise Saguaros in Arizona Fall League action yesterday, and both had some problems. Alexy, who is pitching in the AFL after missing most of 2019 with a lat strain, gave up 3 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks, and 2 Ks in 2 innings of work. Uvila, who had allowed just 1 run prior to yesterday, allowed 2 hits and 3 walks, with 2 runs scoring, while recording just 2 outs, though his ERA is still a very respectable 3.12 on the year.

Speaking of Uvila, he is discussed in the latest Statcast podcast (and LSB gets a shoutout in connection with Uvila), which you should check out.

Bubba Thompson, Jax Biggers and Matt Whatley all started for Surprise yesterday, as well, and each recorded one single apiece. Bubba is slashing .291/.388/.473 in 16 games.
