Good morning.

The big news of the day comes from Evan Grant who writes that the Rangers are willing to explore getting involved at the very top of the free agent market this winter.

Sullivan expands on the news with GM Jon Daniels appearing ready to take the next step in the team’s rebuild. Looks like meat’s back on the menu, boys!

Jeff Wilson, however, ponders if the ever-expanding cost for the new park, which will come out of the Rangers’ owner’s pockets, could eventually dip into the roster budget.

After opting back in again this winter, we know that Elvis Andrus will be the shortstop for the Rangers in 2020. Levi Weaver considers if he’ll be there the next time the Rangers reach the playoffs.

Sullivan notes that while the Rangers lost a Tingler to San Diego, the big league club gained a Ragsdale.

Grant continues his offseason positional analysis with a look at left field which began the year as Joey Gallo’s permanent home and ended up Willie Calhoun’s domain.

Sullivan ranks the top ten moments of the 2019 season, and, in a complete reversal of actual reality, Michael Young’s lifetime achievement number retirement ceremony comes in at at No. 1 while Adrian Beltre’s being among baseball’s greatest ever number retirement ceremony is ranked No. 5.

And, lastly, this has nothing to do with the Rangers, but the Stars are retiring Sergei Zubov’s number. The only thing left is finally seeing Darren Woodson make it into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Have a nice day!
