Mike Trout was named the American League MVP today, and Cody Bellinger was named the National League MVP, it was announced today.

Trout has his third MVP of his career. He also has four second place finishes and a fourth place finish. He received 17 first place votes and 13 second place votes, while runner up Alex Bregman got 13 first place votes and 17 second place votes. Marcus Semien was third, followed by D.J. LeMahieu and Xander Bogaerts.

Bellinger received 19 first place votes, 10 second place votes and one fifth place vote. Runner up Christian Yelich got 10 first place votes, 18 second place votes, a third place vote and a fourth place vote. Interestingly, the same writer, Tracy Ringolsby, gave Yelich and Bellinger their lowest votes — he had Freddie Freeman, Anthony Rendon and Nolan Arenado as his top three.
