Good morning.

Evan Grant writes that the Rangers held a pre-Winter Meetings getting to know you session with Anthony Rendon and have recently held a clandestine meeting with Zach Wheeler as they try to land top free agents. Game on, I guess.

T.R. Sullivan confirms the Rendon meeting and notes that, while the Rangers haven’t offered a contract yet, they’ll likely have to go beyond five years to make it happen.

Grant writes that the Rangers have a few more right-handed options for the bullpen after a couple of moves yesterday.

Sullivan has more on the acquisition of RHP Jimmy Herget off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds.

Jeff Wilson writes that while there were no bombshells on non-tender deadline day but the Rangers did make a couple of moves that will impact the bullpen in 2020.

Sullivan writes about Nick Goody deciding to join the Rangers and also getting a fresh contract for 2020 already inked.

Jamey Newberg ponders what could have been if the Rangers hadn’t picked Prince Fielder and Shin-Soo Choo over Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz six offseasons ago.

And, finally, Sullivan takes a look back at the ten best games the Texas Rangers played in the 2010s.

Have a nice day!
