2019 MLB Pipeline Texas Rangers top 30 prospect list

MLB Pipeline has released their top 30 prospects for the Texas Rangers system

The 2019 MLB Pipeline Texas Rangers top 30 prospect list is out, and it has some definite surprises in how some of the Rangers prospects are ranked.

Hans Crouse is the #1 prospect in the system, per MLB Pipeline, unseating Leody Taveras, who was atop last year’s list. Taveras drops all the way to #6 in the system, behind, among others, Anderson Tejeda, his teammate at high-A Down East in 2018.

Osleivis Basabe and Sam Huff are ranked higher than I would have expected, while Demarcus Evans and Sherten Apostel are lower than I think I would have them. Yohander Mendez, meanwhile, is still on the top 30 list, albeit just barely.
