Spring Training Game Thread: Anaheim Angels (and eventually KC Royals) at Texas Rangers

Why play one spring training game when you can play two?

MLB: Spring Training-Texas Rangers at Los Angeles Angels Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

One spring training game per day couldn’t possibly be enough training for these Rangers so they’ll be having a day/night doubleheader of spring training baseball games at Surprise Stadium to ramp up their training in this, the season of spring.

The first of these games will see Matt Harvey and the Anaheim Angels arrive in Surprise, Arizona to take on Shelby Miller and the Rangers.

An early game lineup:

The night game today will pit Surprise roommates Kansas City against Texas in the second leg in the Battle For Surprise. The Royals will send RHP Homer Bailey to the mound opposite LHP Yohander Mendez for the Rangers.

You’ll be able to watch a simulcast of the Angels’ telecast of the early game on Fox Sports Southwest. First pitch for the first game of the day is scheduled for 3:05 pm CT.

The second game will be telecast by Fox Sports Southwest proper or you can catch it on 105.3 The Fan. You’ve got a full day of baseball ahead of you if you so choose. The first pitch of the second game is scheduled for 9:05 pm CT.

Go Rangers!
