Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels are finalizing a 12 year, $430 million extension, according to Jeff Passan. Trout, who was slated to be a free agent after the 2020 season, will now be under contract through 2030, Passan reports.

Trout, 27, has established himself as the best player in baseball, and was expected to be the subject of an aggressive bidding war once he hit the market. This deal gives Trout the largest contract in MLB history, and ensures the Angels will have their franchise player for years to come.
