Lone Star Ball turns 14 today

On April 13, 2005, Lone Star Ball launched. It wasn’t one of the “Original Six” SBN sites, but it was one of the very early ones — I think it was the 8th or 9th site to launch under the SBN umbrella. I had been doing a Rangers blog on the Blogspot platform since early 2003, and Jeff Sullivan, who was managing Lookout Landing, suggested me to founder Tyler Blezinski, and convinced me to join SBN as the manager of the Rangers site.

14 years. That’s a long time.

Those of you who were around in the early years know that the platform and the blog have both evolved and, I’d like to think, gotten better over the years. Some of you reading have been around since the beginning, some of you are new, but however long you’ve been reading, whether you comment or not, I’d like to thank you for reading and following the site.

And I want to particularly thank goET, who started dealing with the game day threads and helping with the morning links almost a decade ago. I don’t think I could have kept doing this so long without his help.
