Good morning.

Jeff Wilson writes that while the Rangers were piling on 12 runs in a defeat of the Angels, Shelby Miller was taking a small step forward following a rough first inning.

T.R. Sullivan recaps the 12-7 victory over Anaheim which saw the Rangers win in the unusual style that has become familiar early this season, namely patient at-bats, dingers, and pitching best left unmentioned.

It turns out that, as Evan Grant notes, Joey Gallo had been dealing with an inner ear infection to go along with a slump that he broke out of in a big way last night.

Levi Weaver writes that Gallo was feeling like he was letting the team down but, for the Rangers, it’s all about Gallo buying in that the results will come when the process is followed.

Wilson writes that a week of dealing with things beyond his control served to help Gallo with sticking to the plan the Rangers have for him.

Grant notes that while the pitching wasn’t good again for Texas, they did get multiple innings from Rule 5 draftee Kyle Dowdy who picked up his first big league win for the effort.

Sullivan has notes on the Rangers celebrating Jackie Robinson last night, Gallo’s return, and milestones for Adrian Sampson and Chuck Morgan.

Grant writes that no Ranger has the franchise gravitas and overall excellence in the same way as Dirk Nowitzki had in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks but that Elvis Andrus could have a small taste of that with a full career with Texas.

Jared Sandler offers his Sandbox recap of the last week and includes some news and notes on what’s been going on with the Rangers as we near a full tenth of the season already in the books.

And, lastly, Wilson has more on Mini Delino DeShields Jude Roe’s big day on Sunday because who could ever get enough of Mini Lino?

Have a nice day!
