Good morning, folks...

The Rangers fell to the Astros last night by a score of 11-4.

The S-T’s game story talks about the opener working well for Texas, but the rest of the bullpen having issues.

The opener is something the Rangers will use occasionally, says Woodward.

Rougned Odor, mired in a season-long slump, is getting the day off on Sunday, though Chris Woodward has praise for the effort Odor is putting in.

Nomar Mazara, also mired in a slump, got a day off yesterday, and Evan Grant notes he has the worst average in the league on fastballs.

Shawn Kelley says that physically he feels great, but is still trying to determine the nature of the infection that has him on the i.l., though he hopes to be off the injured list soon.

Evan Grant writes about Emily Jones and her relationship with the players on the Rangers, which goes beyond reporter-subject.

The Rangers’ website has notes on the opener, Rougned Odor, Danny Santana, Shawn Kelley, and Lance Lynn.
