17-21 - Rangers embarrass their mothers with 15-5 loss and series sweep to Houston

The Astros show their desperation to retain the Silver Boot with series sweep

MLB: Texas Rangers at Houston Astros Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Well that was an unpleasant weekend of baseball.

The Rangers probably are what we thought they were heading into the season and though they had a surprising .500 record heading into this series, they also have a pitching staff that currently includes Mike Minor and nothing else worth noting and a lineup that is prone to ups and downs possibly concurrent with whether they’re hitting in the home ballpark or not.

Anyhow, I hope you’re enjoyed some time with your mom rather than leaving any room for the Texas Rangers today.

Player of the Game: Joey Gallo was given the day off making him the least sullied player for the Rangers today.

Up Next: The Baseball Gods grant us a day off before the Rangers play their first game this season against a team from the American League Central — against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium starting Tuesday night.
