Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus left today’s game against the Kansas City Royals in the 7th inning with what appeared to be a hamstring issue. Elvis pulled up while running out a grounder in the top of the 7th inning, and was replaced in the lineup by Ronald Guzman, who went to first base, with Logan Forsythe moving to shortstop.

The Rangers were down 9-4 at that point, so it make be that Chris Woodward was just being cautious in removing him given the lopsided score. We will update this when we know more.

UPDATE — Elvis has tightness in his right hamstring, per the beats, and will be evaluated tomorrow.
