If you had told me after the Rangers dropped five games under .500 with a loss in Kansas City last Tuesday, after a miserable week, that exactly a week later they’d be back at .500, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Nevertheless, here we are.
The Rangers have won as many games as they’ve lost this season and that’s now thanks in part to a stretch here over the last week where they’ve won six of seven after it seemed they were hitting a tailspin that would derail the good vibes from earlier in the year.
Kudos to the Rangers for fighting hard to remain fun.
Player of the Game: Lance Lynn did a pretty solid Mike Minor impersonation by tossing seven inning and allowing a couple of runs while striking out 11 to just one walk.
Up Next: The Rangers and Mariners close out this series with Adrian Sampson set to take the mound for Texas against LHP Marco Gonzales for Seattle. First pitch in Wednesday’s finale is scheduled for 1:05 pm CT.
