27-27 - Home cooking turns sour as Rangers fall 4-2 to Royals in opener

A poor showing from the offense was not what anyone was expecting in Texas’ return home

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Texas Rangers Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

You should never count anything as certain when it comes to baseball seeing as the Texas Rangers were back at The Ballpark tonight where they had the second best home record in the league and lost to the 19-37 Kansas City Royals even with Mike Minor on the mound.

Player of the Game: The Rangers as a team collected just five hits tonight and two of them came off the bat of Shin-Soo Choo who hit a solo home run to open the scoring.

Up Next: The Rangers and Royals are back at it again on Friday night with Texas sending Ariel Jurado to the mound opposite LHP Danny Duffy for KC. First pitch from The Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
