In a pitchers’ duel that evolved into a back and forth affair, the Rangers came out on top in 11 innings

I wrote a whole bunch here about the Rangers losing and then I wrote a whole bunch about them winning and right when I thought they were going to lose again, then they won!

That was a big win for Texas who was all but dominated by Chris Sale for much of the night but then they went into full on rally mode in the late innings to scratch and claw their way to an extremely rare road series opener win.

And hey, they also padded their Wild Card 2 lead. :)

Player of the Game: Mike Minor was very good and Danny Santana had four hits and scored three runs for Texas.

Up Next: The Rangers turn to RHP Ariel Jurado to make the start in the second game of this series on Tuesday night against a yet to be determined hurler for the Red Sox. First pitch from Fenway Park is scheduled once again for 6:10 pm CT.
