John King throws CG 3 hitter for DEWDs

Down East starter John King threw a complete game tonight, allowing a single unearned run

Down East left handed John King continued his remarkable 2019 campaign with a 9 inning complete fame for the Wood Ducks tonight. King needed just 90 pitches, allowing a single unearned run on 3 hits and a walk while striking out 4. King, who started the year at Hickory, has lowered his ERA in six Carolina League starts to 1.25.

Also noteworthy for Down East...Leody Taveras was 2 for 5, and J.P. Martinez was 2 for 4 with a home run.

For Frisco, Jonathan Hernandez gave up 5 runs on 7 hits (2 HRs) and 3 walks, striking out 5. Emmanuel Clase had a scoreless inning, striking out 2.
