An easy 7-1 interleague win in game No. 69?
Nice.
Player of the Game: Rougned Odor’s struggles this season — and in recent years — has been well documented but when he’s going right, he can be a force. In June, he’s been starting to get it going right again and that culminated with a grand slam tonight to put this one to bed.
It wasn’t just the slam, though, as Rougie also drew three walks tonight and has drawn a free pass in seven of his last eight games.
Up Next: Mike Minor will take the mound for the Rangers in the second game of this series on Saturday night against former Rangers farmhand RHP Tanner Roark for the Reds. First pitch from Great American Ball Park is scheduled for 6:10 pm CT.
