The 2019 MLB All Star Team has Hunter Pence as the starting designated hitter for the American League, with the voting announced tonight showing Pence at the top of the list. He beat out Nelson Cruz and J.D. Martinez, the other two of three finalists who were voted on between yesterday and this afternoon at 3 p.m.
Joey Gallo was also a finalist for a starting outfield spot, but fell short, with Mike Trout, George Springer and Michael Brantley finishing ahead of him in the voting.
