The Atlanta Braves and free agent starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel have agreed on a deal, per reports. It is reportedly a one year, pro-rated $20 million deal, which would mean he would be paid around $13 million this year.

The 31 year old free agent hit the market this past offseason on the heels of a good, but not great, season for the Houston Astros, putting up a 3.74 ERA and a 3.69 FIP in 204.2 IP. Interest in his services was dampened by the Astros having put a qualifying offer on him, which meant a team signing him before This past Monday would lose at least one draft pick and potentially international bonus pool money. Like his fellow free agent Craig Kimbrel, who agreed to a deal with the Chicago Cubs yesterday, once the season got underway, it was expected Keuchel would wait until he was eligible to be signed without draft pick compensation to reach an agreement.
