Strong start for Tyler Phillips

Josh Jung got on base twice more, and Tyler Phillips had a solid outing for Frisco

Frisco righthander Tyler Phillips started his night by issuing a walk and then allowing a home run, but after that things were smooth sailing. Final line for Phillips was 5 IP, 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs, 3 Ks. Joe Barlow threw a scoreless 9th with 2 Ks and now has a 1.13 ERA in th Texas League. Rehabbing Isiah Kiner-Falefa was 1 for 2 with an HBP and a walk, rehabbing Hunter Pence was 0 for 3 with a walk, and Leody Taveras had a hit.

Down East had just 1 hit, a Yohel Pozo single, through 8 innings, and went to the bottom of the 9th down 2-0. A Curtis Terry single, a Diosbel Arias walk, and a Yanio Perez home run, however, gave them a 3-2 walkoff win.

For Nashville, Peter Fairbanks gave up a pair of runs in an inning of work, and rehabbing Kyle Dowdy gave up a pair of runs in an inning of work. Offensively, Carlos Tocci had two hits, Eli White had a triple and a walk, Scott Heineman had two hits and a walk, and Jose Trevino, back in Nashville after rehabbing in the AZL, had two hits and a walk.

For the AZL Rangers, rehabbing Wei-Chieh Huang threw 2 scoreless innings with 4 Ks. Josh Jung had a hit and a walk, Alexander Ovalles had 3 hits, Osleivis Basabe had 2 hits, and Randy Florentino and Keyber Rodriguez each homered.
