Facing the New Orleans Baby Cakes, Palumbo threw 68 pitches (48 strikes) in 4 IP, with 6 Ks, 2 walks, 1 hit and 1 run allowed, lowering his AAA ERA to 3.38 on the year. Hunter Pence was 2 for 4 today for Frisco before being lifted for a pinch runner, as he continues his rehab assignment. Demarcus Evans retired both batters he faced, 1 via the strikeout,

For Spokane, 2019 2nd rounder Ryan Garcia gave up a run on 2 hits in 2 innings of work, striking out 3. Teodoro Ortega went 3.2 scoreless, with 3 Ks and a walk, dropping his ERA to 1.31. Obie Ricumstrict had a single and a double, and David Garcia had a single, a double, and an apparent two run 9th inning home run that was then called foul after umpires conferred, with Spokane’s manager then being ejected.

And Josh Jung continues to hit. He was 3 for 4 tonight with a walk for the AZL Rangers. Shortstop Derwin Barreto was 4 for 6 with a homer, and Keyber Rodriguez had a hit and a walk.
