Josh Jung, Leody Taveras get some hits

A couple of top Rangers position prospects had nice days

2018 first rounder Cole Winn pitched for Hickory tonight and did not have a good outing, getting knocked out with two outs in the third. 2019 first rounder Josh Jung, however, rebounded from last night’s 0 for 5 with a 2 hit game. Miguel Aparicio and Frainyer Chavez also had 2 hit games, and Tyreque Reed had a hit and a pair of walks.

For Frisco, Leody Taveras had a walk and a pair of hits. Isiah Kiner-Falefa, playing third base, had a hit and a walk.

Down East had only 2 hits and 2 walks, but Sam Huff had one of each. Cole Uvila struck out 2 in a scoreless inning of work.

For Nashville, Scott Heineman had two hits, including a home run. Nick Solak hit his third homer in two games, and Willie Calhoun had 3 walks.

For the AZL Rangers, Alexander Ovalles went 4 for 5 with a double and a triple, and Osleivis Basabe had 3 hits.

For Spokane, Ricky Vanasco struck out 8 in 4 IP, but also allowed 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks.
