50-50 - Rangers are playing .500 baseball in 2019 after 7-3 loss to Mariners

The Rangers have an identical record of 50-50 after losing their eighth consecutive game

MLB: Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Round numbers are appealing to the eye unless you’re the Texas Rangers who have won 50 games but have also now lost 50 games in 100 overall contests when at one point, less than a month ago, they were 46-36 and just eight days ago, they were 50-42.

Player of the Game: Definitely this guy:

This Rangers fan was at the park and snagged a foul ball right from longtime Texas nemesis Kyle Seager’s glove allowing Hunter Pence a two-out reprieve on his at-bat which saw him come through with a first inning RBI single. Thanks, Jake!

Up Next: RHP Pedro Payano will come up to either make the emergency start for the Rangers on Tuesday night or he’ll pitch in a bullpen game for Texas at some point. The Mariners will counter with a To Be Determined starter of their own. First pitch from Definitely Still Safeco Field is schedule for 9:10 pm CT.
